I was born and raised in south Mississippi. I spent my formative years in Jackson and Biloxi, before moving to Hattiesburg for college in 2008. After completing my B.F.A. in Graphic Design at The University of Southern Mississippi, I began working for the University’s communications office, where I spent the next 9 years developing my skills as an effective communicator and designer. In the years following, I evolved into a design role with the Red Thread Brands marketing agency, where I was able to broaden my experience with brand building and storytelling, as well as working in a fully remote environment.
The favorite parts of my day-to-day design life are problem solving, layout & typography, and photo editing/compositing.
I have a strong working relationship not only with my creative team, but with clients, printers and any other external vendors I work with as well. I believe the most important factor in being successful is to nurture and cultivate the trust between my team and whomever we work with externally.
In my personal time, I enjoy landscape and abstract/fine-art photography, spending hours wandering Dirt Cheap, relaxing at the park with my 2 dogs, Lucy & Max, and re-watching my favorite TV shows on an infinity loop.
